WCEP Welcomes Dr. Michael White as Incoming Medical Director for Wound Care Education Partners

We are pleased to announce Michael White, MD, UHM, MMM, CWS as the incoming Medical Director for Wound Care Education Partners. Dr. White is assuming the role from the outgoing Medical Director, Helen Gelly, MD, FUHM, FACCWS, UHM/ABPM.

We make this announcement with enormous gratitude to Dr. Gelly who has served as WCEP's Medical Director since our beginning in 2008. Dr. Gelly has been involved in hyperbaric medicine and wound care since 1991 and is boarded in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and is a Fellow of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. It has been a great honor and privilege to have had her expertise and leadership over the past 15 years. Dr. Gelly will remain on the WCEP faculty teaching team.

Over the years, Dr. Gelly has worked closely with Dr. White and the transition of leadership has been smooth and positive.

Dr. White is boarded in Family Medicine, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, and is a Certified Wound Specialist.

He currently serves as the Medical Director for Wound Care Education Partners.

Dr. White received his Doctorate of Medicine from Marshall University and completed a Masters of Medical Management from Tulane University in 2009. He has been with Wound Care Education Partners since 2011.
