Wound Care Education Partners and the Hyperbaric Certification Commission have developed this pathway to support aspiring, new, or seasoned program directors in the marketing and administrating of hyperbaric and wound care centers in a manner that supports positive patient outcomes and long-term successful business operations.

COMPETENCY: Upon completion of the required learning modules, Candidates will be able to:

• Market an HBO/wound care program effectively with little or no budget and connect patients with the care they need.
• Understand who are the potential referral physicians/referral sources, and learn how to connect with them.
• Overcome difficulties in connecting HBO candidates with necessary care in an HBO/wound care clinic.
• Understand ICD-10-CM billing and coding for wound care/HBO with the goal of improved coding accuracy.
• Lead efficient clinic operations in order to support long-term program success.

CERTIFICATION CURRICULM Candidates will complete the following 4 learning modules:

1. THE BUSINESS OF WOUND CARE & HYPERBARIC MEDICINE (Live/livestream course 16 credit hours)
   This two-day workshop is specifically designed to support clinic administrators, medical directors, and hospital executives in marketing and administrating a hyperbaric and wound care center in a manner that supports positive patient outcomes and long-term successful business operations. 3. Overview of the Role of Hyperbaric Safety Director (online/on-demand course)
4. HC-PD Certification Exam (Online)
